Seven Cyberpunk-vibe games to watch for
With the main impacts in the genre done by the Blade Runner movies, Akira Animé and Cyberpunk game itself, the vibe of futuristic vibrant cities with a dystopean and brutal feel spawn at full throttle. Here are seven of our own picks we're keeping a close supportive eye on!
1. NoLaw
NO LAW is an upcoming single-player, first-person cyber-noir action RPG set in the dangerous and lawless city of Port Desire. Developed by Neon Giant, the studio behind The Ascent, the game combines fast-paced FPS combat, stealth, exploration, RPG progression, and player-driven choices in a dense cyberpunk world.
Players take the role of Grey Harker, an ex-military veteran who has suffered near-fatal injuries and wants nothing more than to leave his violent past behind. After settling into a quieter life, however, circumstances force him back into a world of violence, crime, and revenge. Harker must navigate Port Desire and take back what was wrongfully taken from him.
The developers stated (and demonstrated in an Unreal demo) that the main difference between their game and for example Cyberpunk is density; Port Desire will not be as huge as Midnight City or GTA6, but have much more stuff to do in smaller areas. They for instance also use height and elevation in new and unique ways to traverse through the city and discover new items or quests.

2. Out Of Action
Out of Action is a fast-paced first-person shooter focused on competitive PvP combat, advanced movement, customization, and player skill. Developed by Doku Games, the game combines a brutal cyberpunk setting with a distinctive visual style inspired by 1990s dystopian anime.
The game is built around high-speed, skill-based firefights where movement and mechanical ability are just as important as weapon accuracy. Players can move dynamically through the environment and use the game's movement systems to outmaneuver opponents, creating fast and cinematic encounters rather than traditional stationary FPS combat.
Out of Action entered Early Access in January 2026. The game is already fully playable with an established gameplay loop, progression systems, dedicated servers, and backend infrastructure, while development continues with additional content, features, balancing, optimization, and community feedback. The developers have emphasized a community-driven development process, using player feedback to help shape the game's balance and future priorities.
3. Nivalis Nights
Looking for a life sim in the neon future?
Nivalis Nights is a cyberpunk slice-of-life simulation and management game developed by ION LANDS, the studio behind Cloudpunk, and published by 505 Games. Set in the same futuristic city of Nivalis, the game focuses less on combat and more on building a life, running businesses, exploring the city, and developing relationships.
Nivalis itself is a major part of the experience. The city is a huge, vertically structured cyberpunk environment stretching from the ocean to the clouds, filled with neon-lit streets, businesses, apartments, docks, and diverse inhabitants. Players can explore the city by boat, go fishing, experience changing weather, and discover different locations and characters.
The game is scheduled for September 29, 2026, on PC, with ION LANDS developing and 505 Games publishing. It was previously known simply as Nivalis before officially being renamed Nivalis Nights in June 2026.
4. Neo Berlin 2087
NEO BERLIN 2087 is an upcoming cyberpunk action RPG and cinematic detective thriller developed by Elysium Game Studio. Set in a dark, dystopian version of Berlin in the year 2087, the game combines first- and third-person shooting, stealth, investigation, role-playing, and narrative choices.
The story follows Nolan, a troubled detective working for the Neo Berlin Police Department. After the brutal murder of the police chief, Nolan is tasked with finding and protecting the chief's daughter, Natalie. What begins as an investigation quickly develops into a much larger conspiracy threatening the foundations of Neo Berlin.
First gameplay videos set off a Goldeneye64 in Midnight City vibe. Rather than being a traditional open-world cyberpunk RPG, the developers and publisher currently describe it as a focused, atmospheric detective thriller with handcrafted, linear levels, placing greater emphasis on its story, investigation, and cinematic presentation.

5. Steel Soul Shaper
Want to stay a bit out of actual action and just try and run a shop in a cybercity?
Steel Soul Shaper is an upcoming indie cyberpunk repair simulation and narrative adventure developed by GENEPOP Studio and published by Spiral Up Games. Instead of playing a traditional cyberpunk soldier or mercenary, players take on the role of a highly skilled cyberware surgeon operating a secret back-alley clinic in a dystopian futuristic city.
The core gameplay revolves around repairing, modifying, and customizing cybernetic body parts. Players work on damaged cyberware using specialized tools and materials, repairing cracked metal, patching armor, removing rust, and purging computer viruses. When components are beyond repair, players must find replacement parts through whatever means are available.
Customization is another important part of the experience. Rather than simply replacing damaged cyberware with mass-produced components, players can create unique cybernetic designs for their clients. Metallic paint, decals, and neon lighting can be added to mechanical limbs, allowing each piece of cyberware to have its own appearance and personality.

6. Neo Kinetic
If you liked F-zero or Wipe out adrenaline rushes, this is for you!
Neo Kinetic is an upcoming indie anti-gravity racing game developed and published by NKDev. Inspired by futuristic racing classics such as Wipeout and F-Zero, the game focuses on extremely fast-paced racing, futuristic technology, and spectacular tracks that push vehicles to supersonic speeds.
Set at the dawn of the 24th century, Neo Kinetic presents a new era of competitive racing organized by the Neo Racing League. Players pilot futuristic anti-gravity ships capable of speeds far beyond conventional vehicles, competing across tracks that stretch around the world.
The game's tracks are one of its main attractions. Races take place through futuristic cities, enormous megastructures, and gravity-defying environments. Some courses feature magnetic sections that allow tracks to twist, loop, and change orientation, creating races that require players to react quickly while maintaining control at extreme speeds.

7. Arbiter 131
While this one is less neon lighted, it still holds most of the same dystopean and futurism vibe of the others.
ARBITER 131 is an indie tactical game that combines real-time strategy, squad tactics, surveillance, and reactive storytelling. Its most distinctive feature is the relationship between tactical gameplay and narrative: the way players command their team can become part of the story itself.
You need to order your units into hostile territory to achieve certain objectives. Instead of the traditional strategy overview of "see-it-all", the game will only allow commanders to use either drone surveillance intel or direct body cams that drop you right into the action.
